My favorite zoo is San Diego. I want to go again soon to see the new elephant exhibit. I also really like the Bronx Zoo. I have also been to the Basel and Zurich zoos in Switzerland.

I also like the Antwerpen Zoo, they have a unique collection and has certinely a very good breeding record with species such as Okapi and gorillas, the only Eastern Lowland gorilla in captivity is kept there.
Though the zoo is not easy to find, I drove around Antwerpen for over an hour without finding it, even drove past it several times (it is surrounded by high walls)

I have been to many Zoos in Germany. I visited Munich, Nuernberg, Stuttgart (Wilhelma), Frankfurt/Oder, Duisburg, Leipzig, Berlin (two times). I also discovered their zoos there. Zoos I really want to go in are Vienna Zoo, San Diego Zoo and the Zoo in Antwerpen^^
The zoo in Antwerpen is not very good. The exhabits are small, and some look like cages. They are working on the zoo to make it more realistic, but at the moment, I think you can better choose another zoo in Belgium, like the one in Mechelen. A zoo in the Netherlands who I can recomment, is Burger's zoo. They have some beautifull landscapes made in there, like the bush and the desert . Forget the crew... Follow the rules!

Oops! sorry! Me and Geography - there are things that should not meet T_T I meant the Burger´s Zoo. Sorry, with the Netherlands and Belgium I ... yeah... I dont know them exactly. Sorry!

Yes I agree that there is many apsects about the encloasers that can be improved at Antwerpen, many of them being very oudated and perhaps to small as well; though its a very unique zoo in the way that it still use many of the old encloasers. Also, dont think the animals in Antwerpen are suffering from bad husbandary becuase of that.
Didnt see more animals shopwing sterotype behaviour in Antwerpen than for ex. in Chester where they have put down millions on exhivits

I visited the Bronx Zoo last year, it was amazing. The Congo Gorilla Forest is probably one of the best gorilla exhibits in the world, it looks like a real rainforest!

Yeah Chester zoo is really good, and I gave some donation toward conservation! Funny thing is, there were loads of different peoples around the small clawed otter exhibit, but the otters kept looking at me, doing those little yaps, and followed my every moves! Why me of all peoples?
I like to go to Blijdorp in Rotterdam because of the beautifull exhibits and the big variation of animal species. I also like to go to safaripark Beekse Bergen because of the car route where you can see animals eye to eye Always look on the bright side of life!

I visit Prague zoo (czech republic) twice a year,always with my friends, because lot of my friends are future zoologist. I really love this zoo, because when i was kid it was kind of dirty (bad smell everywhere),but with new zoo director is this zoo really great. english isn't my main language I♥love rats
